By preparing little reflections and visuals we can help others to be inspired and at the same time it helps oneself to be conscious of what one presents and be committed to practice it. So sharing these little reflections and my very small initiatives on the laudatosi action platform has motivated me to be faithful and to contribute my share to protect the mother earth. When I alone do it, it's a drop but when it's added to the public platform it has an impact as much as an ocean can create. - Anitha Kondaveeti, Belgium
Through my personal action plan on the Laudato Si Action Platform, I have become more responsible and accountable in whatever I do. I have written many plans, but only some of them I have taken seriously and tried to follow sincerely. First, I consciously practice segregating biodegradable and non-biodegradable waste. When I look through the window and see the person who cleans the public dustbins and collects the waste, I silently tell myself that I have not added extra work for them. This simple act has helped me grow in respect for the dignity of labor and the people who serve society in unnoticed ways. I also have a deep reverence for food. I have never been selective about food, and I eat whatever is served on the table. I usually comment positively on the taste and never complain. Now, I have become even more conscious of my eating habits—not only eating what is served, but also thinking of those who struggle daily to find food. This awareness has helped me value food as a gift and not as something to be taken for granted. There are still some areas where I am not consistent, such as using the staircase instead of the lift and reading three pages a day beyond academic work. However, this action plan has made me aware that ecological conversion is a gradual process. Laudato Si calls me not to perfection but to faithfulness in small steps, reminding me that simple daily choices can become expressions of care for our common home and solidarity with the poor.- Arputha Lilly Antony, Belgium

By changing my own routine, I hope to live a lighter, cleaner life and do my part to protect the earth for the future.- Reni Felishya, Bangalore
My Laudato Si plan has enabled me to become more environmentally aware and disciplined. I have begun utilizing reusable items like cloth bags for shopping instead of accepting plastic bags from vendors, as well as using refillable water bottles. I am making an effort to cut down on disposable materials and opt for plant-based options for food packaging and storage. In my everyday life, I am mindful of electricity consumption by switching off fans and lights when they are not in use and relying on natural daylight during the daytime. I have decreased the number of light bulbs in the rooms, which helps to lower electricity usage. Additionally, we are growing vegetables in our garden using organic waste as fertilizer to minimize costs. Whenever possible, we prefer to use public transportation. I heat and consume water rather than purchasing bottled water or sachets to prevent unnecessary expenditure. I am attempting to refrain from buying unnecessary things for my own use and maintain only what is essential. All of this has taught me to be economical and use the resources efficiently. I am realizing that while individual changes matter, care for the common home requires a common purpose and community efforts. Living with conscious awareness for the protection of Mother Earth fosters a connection to the global community engaged in significant efforts to preserve the planet.-Sr. Anjela Yadav, Ghana

I also prioritize a healthy lifestyle by choosing nutritious food and cultivating positive thoughts. Mindful living has increased my optimism and focus, helping me lead a more purposeful life while improving physical well-being and inner peace. Reducing dependence on electronic gadgets is another important step; I spend time reading, listening to inspiring talks, and engaging in activities that enrich my knowledge and spiritual growth. I conserve energy by using natural light and practicing simple energy-saving habits.Living ecologically means recognizing the planet’s needs and making responsible daily choices. Though small, each effort contributes to protecting God’s creation. Through this journey I continue to grow, learning to live more simply, responsibly, and gratefully for future generations. – Sr. Sanjukta Tandi, Hyderabad
Living lighter is a daily spiritual practice of making space—for God, for others, and for the Earth. It is detachment, not deprivation: I hold possessions loosely so my hands remain free to serve, trusting that God’s grace is sufficient. I live mindfully, using only what I need and avoiding waste, attentive to the needs of others and ready to share. Eating lighter is more than diet: I choose nourishing, earth-honoring food, grateful for every meal and conscious of all who labor to provide it. I eat enough, sometimes offer my portion to the hungry, and practice the spirituality of “enough,” connecting with farmers, seasons, and the Creator. Remaining fitter means keeping physical, mental, and apostolic energy to say “yes” to God and “no” when rest is needed; my body is a tool for mission, cared for with discipline, prayer, and simple exercise. Saving energy and water is reverence: every conserved drop and watt expresses care for creation and solidarity with the poor. As a consecrated person, this plan aligns my being and doing so I live more authentically in service, simplicity, and love.- Sr Shanti Merugamala, Hyderabad
